Taking advantage of all that the city of Annapolis has to offer was a given for the pre-conference committee, when planning began in August 2013. Naturally, we were interested in learning about ways to partner with the United States Naval Academy. After investigating many possibilities, we are excited to offer all EACE members a chance to learn about the leadership training approach received by midshipmen in order to become Navy and Marine Corps Officers in a comprehensive program offered as the preconference workshop.

What will it include?

2014 EACE Conference

2014 EACE Conference

The theme is the leadership training received by midshipmen in order to become Navy and Marine Corps officers. The program begins with a showing of the film, THE CALL TO SERVE, in the Visitor Center theater, followed by a brief presentation by a retired military officer. Participants are taken on a guided walking tour of the Naval Academy, which includes information on the history and architecture of the Academy with emphasis on the mission, curriculum, athletics program and how midshipmen learn to work as a team. Marching Orders, a leadership team building exercise will conclude the formal.

What does this mean for you?

A reflection session will be facilitated by leaders in our field. You’ll  reflect on the information learned during your time visiting the Naval Academy and identify ways to apply leadership skills/concepts to yourself as a Career Professional, Recruitment Professional or someone who supports the college recruiting/career development process.

Due to the size of the facility and nature of the event space is limited. To secure a seat we ask you to register as soon as you can.
